premiered at the "Mishcan" Center for Performing Arts in Tel-Aviv
1999 as part of the ensemble's first program, REFLEX1. Written for
ensemble & voice that seems to be speaking, but is unheard; instead,
The music reflects the voice. The 24 pre written musical sentences
are performed through a dialogue between the lead character and
the ensemble. A collaboration with choreographer Ruth Tamir, the
choreography creates an interactive dialogue with the music
The
score is based on a series of notes, organized in sections. The
musicians react to a pre-recorded non-even click-track heard through
earphones that keeps them on the edge of their seats all throughout
the piece. The text, 'Ka-Di-Ma-Le-Chi-Al-Ze' (in Hebrew - 'Go-for-it-Girl'),
suggested by Israeli poet Efrat Mishori, is broken down into stuttered
syllables.
