The Reflex Quartet

MAKES ITS DUTCH CONCERT DEBUT

APRIL 18, 2006 at 8:30 PM: DE LINK PUBLIEKSPRIJS, TILBURG

APRIL 30, 2006 at 3:00 PM: KEES VAN BAARENZAAL,
ROYAL CONSERVATORY, THE HAGUE

joined by: Noa Frenkel - voice, Keren Rosenbaum - cello

Artists from the Reflex multi-national new music ensemble will make their
Dutch debut as the Reflex Quartet at De Link Publieksprijs in Tilburg on
April 18 and Kees Van Baarenzaal, Royal Conservatory, The Hague on April 30.
Reflex is the brainchild of Israeli-born composer and interdisciplinary
artist, Keren Rosenbaum. This collective of musicians and
multi-disciplinary artists removes the boundaries between art, technology
and live performance resulting in a unique counterpoint between sound and
vision.

The Reflex Quartet, founded in 2005, is dedicated to Rosenbaum’s vision of
the “new orchestra” and performs in both concert hall and diverse
non-traditional locations.

Rosenbaum’s compositions are artful collaborations of modern technology and
innovative concepts in all art forms. Her work is passionate and challenges
the conventions of modern music with its own inner-logic and rules of
harmony and melody.

"The music is at times kicking and at times caressing, but
constantly intriguing - and breathing. Not as a metaphor, but
literally." (Boaz Cohen, Yediot Aharonot Daily Newspaper)

“Reflex is bold and in your face – it’s like the rock music of
contemporary classical music.” (Nina Colosi, Founder, The Project Room, NY)
