Kiki
Keren Huse - COMPOSER
Born
in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Studied piano, flute and music education
at the Rubin Music Academy, Jerusalem, and Musicology at the
Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Studied composition with Proof.
Abel Ehrlich. Writes mostly chamber music and is especially
interested in opera and Music- Theater.
Her Compositions were performed in Israel, including a fully
staged chamber opera, and were recorded and broadcast by the
Israeli radio music channel. About two years ago she was commissioned
to write a music- theater piece for the occasion of the Hebrew
University’s 75 anniversary. It was performed in summer
2000 and is going to be performed in Italy this coming summer.
Her piece Mi for solo violin and tape was accepted to the last
Sonic Circuits Festival.
She is working now on a chamber opera, involving the use of
video and electronics, and on an installation called “
February- March 2002- A Diary” together with a visual
artist to be exhibited next fall. |
Michal
Solomon - PIANO & PHOTOGRAPHY
Born
in Israel, 1978. Started studying piano at the age of eight,
in Israel, and upon moving with her family to New York, with
Dr. Donald Pirone. During her high school years at the La-Guardia
High School for the Performing Arts in New York, she took part
in many competitions all around the US, including the international
piano competition in Oberlin, Ohio. She won the first prize
in the Brooklyn Council of Arts competition. In New York Michal
performed as soloist with a number of orchestras, including
the Five Towns Symphony Orchestra and the Classicists Symphony
Orchestra. In recent years she has participated in a number
of musicals in New York, including Sweeney Todd and Pippin.
Michal returned to Israel in 1996 and has recently graduated
the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv University, where she
studied with Prof. Yonatan Zak. |
Hadas
Fabricant - VIOLIN
Born
in 1975, among her teachers Ms Vely Blutnar, Mr Haim Taub and
Proof Yair Kless. Graduated from the Rubin academy in Tel-Aviv,
studying with Ms Irena Svatlova. in 1999 she joined the "Reflex
Ensemble" and participated in 3 of the ensemble's events
"Reflex 1, Reflex 2 and Reflex 3 - "duo for violin
and spotlight", she has since formed the well respected
"The Israeli Quartet for Contemporary Music", Winner
of America-Israel scholarship in 1984. At the moment she has
joined the “Musica-Nova” ensemble. In 1988 she was
part of “New Voices” and later on a member of the
“Reflex Ensemble”. |
Jann
Rattya - CLASSICAL ACCORDION
Born
in Finland in 1974. He studied with Heldi Velamo, Matis Rantanen
and Mie Miki, and recieved a scholarship from the "Finnish
Cultural Foundation", Aihuri Fondation and the Deutschen
Akademischen Austauschdienst. He won the first prize in "Arrasate
Hiria" - competition in Spain in 1996. Concert tours have
taken him to various countries in Europe Helsinky and at the
Folkwang-Hochschue in Essen. Hopefully a Reflex Ensemble member
soon.

Baniel - COMPOSER
Finished
her studies of sound engeniring in Manhatan, and degree in the
Rubin academy in Tel-Aviv. Studied for two years in Utrecht
academy in Holland. Among her teachers are composer Arik Shpira,
Proof Yahd de Bur, and Dr Ari ben Shabtai. Participating and
assist in producing the “New Voices” festival. He
music was performed in Israel and abroad. Musical director of
“Rhythm Ensemble” an ensemble dedicated to people
with mental disorders in Jerusalem. |
