Background

I was born in Israel on April 16, 1981, and have since then gained a multidisciplinary background and experience, particularly in Music and other performing arts. I performed and studied music at the New School University in New York City, and in Havana, Cuba.

Performing Experience and Professional History

2003 – 2004 Co-Founder and leader of Giv’ol Choir – an experimental vocal ensemble.

2003 – 2004 Lead singer for EATLIZ – a progressive rock band. Recorded first album.
2003 Composer and Musical Director of Garinim - a play by Ariel Ashbel; Won first prize (best play and best original music) in Akko festival.
2002 – 2003 Performed and recorded the first album of Habiluim – Israeli bible-rock.
2002 – 2003 Memebr of Women’s Voice – An international ensemble of seven women from Africa, Europe and Asia, playing a fusion of African roots, mid-east and Western music.
Dec. 2002 Recorded Diffusion – A composition by Keren Rosenbaum for piano and 12 instruments.
2002 Maya & Michal – An experimental vocal duet, with Michal Openheim.
2001 Performed at Ballet Mechanique by George Enthile.
1999 - 2001 Reflex multi - sensory Ensemble. Played snare and piano on several ensemble productions (Composer Keren Rosenbaum).
2000 Preformed in Turkey and Israel with the Koko Loko Samba percussion group.
2000 Piano player in the Shakespere theater company for the Hampton Shakespere Festival. (NY)
2000 Toured Southern US with poet Jonathan Geffen
2000 Played with John Zorn, Danny Zamir, Aaron Dugan, John lee, Trevor Dunn in NY.
1999 Arranged and performed with Ilan Mochiach Big Band as special guest in Israeli Female Artist Festival.
1999 Performed in the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat.
1998 - 1999 Played keyboards for Jerusalem Salsa Band, performing in Tel-Aviv, Jaffa, Jerusalem and Jordan.
1998 New Music Festival, Kfar Blum, Israel. Sang, Screamed and playing piano and drums For pieces written by composer Keren Rosenbaum.
1998 Sole Israeli representative in the 1998 Januese Musical International Convention in Ivory Coast, Africa.
1994 - 1998 Thelma Yellin School of Performing Arts; Composer and musical director for Blue Bird by Maurice Meterling.
1997 - 1999 Hosted and edited a weekly radio show on a leading Israeli radio station, 103FM. Also broadcasted a variety of music programs.
1997 Chief pianist of Thelma Yellin Big Band performing in New York and Boston.
1996 Hosted weekly children’s television program on Israeli national TV (channel 1)
1993 Akko Fringe Theater Festival: acted and sang in the play “The Jewish Opera”, A Haifa theater production directed by Yoram Porat.
1992 - 1994 Bat-Kol Choir: Performed in Israel and Germany, working with Israeli composers Erik Shapira and Beastie Kyoto.
1992 - 1998 Acted in several Israeli film productions, including There was no war in 1972 directed by David Kreiner, Dana Can’t Dance by Shmuel Imberman, and a number of student productions.

Education
2000 – 2001 New York: New School Jazz and Contemporary Music Program.
1998-1999 Special one year pre-army program including Studies in philosophy, history, nature, literature,
Political and social studies.
1994 - 1998 Thelma Yellin School for Performing Arts (Jazz Department) including intensive ear-training, Jazz
And classical music history, arrangement and Composition for the school’s Big Band, orchestra and choir. Piano player for TY big band in 1997-1998. Graduated with honors.
1994 - 1997 Intensive Ice skating training, mostly figure skating
1993 - 1995 Januese Musical International music camps. Focused on conducting, music history, playing and singing.
1993 - 1995 Wrote articles for JMI publication.
1992 - Bat-Kol Children’s Choir. Mostly voice training.
1991 -1995 - Privately studied the flute with renowned Israeli flautist Moshe Epstein.
1990 -1994 - Theory with composer Lev Kogan.
