Danny Felsteiner - (1977, Israel) – Contrabass

Danny began to play the guitar and bass guitar at a young age but then changed his course and studied computer science, specializing in web programming, system design and analysis. He worked in these fields for several years.

Later, he attended the "Hed" music school in Tel-Aviv, where he studied the contrabass with Avner Yifat. He continued his musical education with Michael Klinghoffer in the music academy in Tel-Aviv University. During these years he played with different orchestras and ensembles in Israel. In 2002 he became a member of the Reflex Ensemble and performed in "Isha-2002", and in "Blowing Steam-2005" - The New-York début of the ensemble.

Currently Danny is studying at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he is a student of Jean-Paul Everts and Knut Guetller. He also followed master-classes by Paul Ellison and Wolfgang Guetller.

Danny is a member of Reflex Ensemble, Holland Theatre Orchestra, Modelo62 Ensemble, The Young Netherlands Woodwind Ensemble (jongNBE), and is a replacement member of the Holland Symfonia and the NBE.

Danny also enjoys arranging music for his ‘Het Clemens’ string trio, and has composed a piece for Modelo62 Ensemble, which was performed in the 2005 International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in Amsterdam. dannyf@mail.com
