Christos
Dovas was born and raised in Patras, Hellas, He grew up as
an apprentice to his father who was a custom shoe designer.
Working in his family-oriented business made him understand
design concept and the precision of execution. He graduated
as fashion designer from a private school in Athens while at
the same time he worked s an assistant designer in an haute
couture atelier. He Opened a boutique with his own line of
cocktail-evening gowns.
Christos'
quest for a better education, more working experience found
him in NYC with BFA in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute
of Technology.
Additional
studies in the atrical costume and an internship in the Metropolitan
Opera of New York Costume Department opened the doors to
the secret world of theatre.
Christos
Dovas lives and works in his NYC based studio. In his conceptual
thinking are involved the elements of Ar Structure, Handwork
and lof of fun. He enjoys the journey in the world of fashion
and emphasizes personality in his creations.
