Actress,
improviser, movement and sound creator, teacher and group
facilitator.
Ms. Peretz began her drama studies at the Nisan Nativ Acting
Studio, Tel-Aviv, Israel (1986-1989). In 1990 she moved to
Berkley, California, where she studied with Ms. Ruth Zapora,
founder of the “Action Theater – The Improvisation
of Presence”. In 1991, Ms. Peretz performed with the “The
Big Big Impro” Bay area theater group, and in 1992, after
being certified to teach Action Theater, she returned to Haifa,
Israel.
Ms.
Peretz’s involvement with improvisation brought about
the opportunity to collaborate with artists from various
fields. She has a member of the interdisciplinary Reflex
Ensemble, founded by Israeli composer Keren Rosenbaum in
1999, and took part in all of its productions and activities.
Ms. Peretz & Ms. Rosenbaum also collaborated in many
other stage productions and educational projects, including
the “New Voices” festival in Kfar Blum, and the “Ultrasound” multidisciplinary
event in Tel Aviv. Ms. Peretz will be featured in the Reflex
Ensemble’s upcoming production at the Chelsea Art Museum
in 2005.
In 2004 Ms. Peretz founded the Improvisation Center, the-first-of-it’s-kind
in Israel. Where actors, educators, performing actors, people
